Today's update didn't go well
Thu Jan 13, 2022 4:02 pm
Hi!
Today's update to version 4.0.1.1 didn't go as smooth as usual. My copy of Pandora reverted to trial mode. Help | Registration | Update makes Pandora crash every time, so I can't register again.
Or have I missed something and this is a paid upgrade? Didn't say anything about that in the notification, so I supposed not.

Maybe worth to mention. The registration box shows up with my license number already filled in. So somehow Pandora knows I'm a registered user but still runs in trial mode.

User license is series-based, license 3 is for releases 3.1-3.9, 4 is for releases 4.1-4.9 and so forth.
Starting with version 4 there will be additional warning when switching from 4.x to 5.x (if we get that far), along the lines "it's paid upgrade".
Here is how to roll back:
1. Download installer from here:
http://www.drivehq.com/web/brana/pandora3.zip
2. Install old version over new one, you do not have to un-install new one first. If you do, make sure to choose 'No' to delete settings prompt.
3. To turn off upgrade notification, go to Settings/Background Tasks:
Uncheck -> When starting check for updates. Hit OK.

OK. Yes, a warning had been good. I though it originally said "Pay once..." on the site, but I may be wrong about that.
No, I don't want to roll back. I'll buy a new license.

Are licenses backwards-compatible, so, if you buy version 4, you can enter it into version 3 before upgrading?
In my opinion, that would make sense.
